Two sons and a shopkeeper English Story

English Story
Two young sons went English Story to a snack shop and seeing the shopkeeper's attention elsewhere, one of them stole a ladle and passed it to the other. He hid it in his pocket. Seeing the upper ladle in the ladle plate, the shopkeeper became suspicious of the two and said, 'No one has stolen my ladle except you'. On hearing this, the person who stole the ladle says, 'By God, your ladle does not belong to me.'

He who had a ladle in English Story his pocket says, 'I also swear that I have not stolen any of your ladle.' The shopkeeper said, 'I cannot say which of the two of you stole the ladoos, but I am sure that one of you is an Assamese thief and both of you are liars.'

Meaning - There is no great glory in speaking truthfully with lies, truthfulness in actions is also required.
