"Many disciples progressed by obeying the Guru, one of whom was Kalyan Swami. His original name was Ambaji. Once Samarth Ramdas English Story Swami asked Ambaji to cut a branch of a tree that came over a well. There was a danger of falling into the well; however, Ambaji obeyed the Guru's command and cut the branch with an axe. started. Ambaji, engrossed in cutting the branch, after some time fell into the well along with the branch. Everyone was scared. As soon as the Samarths came to know this, they came there. They looked into the well and asked, "Ambaji, is Kalyan?"

"Yes, good lord!" The answer came from the well.

"Come on then English Story upstairs." On hearing Samarth's words, Ambaji came up and said that he was happy with Samarth's grace. From that day everyone including Samartha started calling him by the name "Kalyan".
