 English Story

There was an arrogant king. He was proud of his wealth and kingdom. He was also proud English Story of his power and appearance. He used to boast about his intelligence. When he won a war, he would be proud. He would look down on others in front of him. He would insult someone without any respect. He would try to belittle others. Because of these reasons, people were angry with him. In that kingdom, a learned scholar decided to bring him to court. One Hindi Story day, he went to the court of the scholar king and bowed down to the king. The king did not even bow in return, but instead asked the scholar proudly, "Tell me, Pandit Maharaj, what help do you need?" "Whatever you want, ask for it. If you want alms, ask for it. Or if you want wealth, gold coins, land, grain, whatever you want, ask for it from me." Panditji looked at the king once and he started laughing loudly.

The king and the people in Marathi Story the court did not understand the reason for the Pandit's laughter. When the laughter subsided, the Pandit said, "King, what kind of alms will you give me, because you have nothing to give me." Hearing this from the Pandit, the king became angry and turned red. The king's soldiers rushed to kill the Pandit, but the commander stopped the soldiers and asked the Pandit if he wanted to say anything further. Then Panditji said, "Maharaj, think with a cool head, you were not born by your own will, then where did you get the qualities of appearance, beauty and prowess? You were born because your parents gave you birth. Your food supply is due to Mother Earth. She has grown and provided food for her children, so you are taking care of it, and if you say about the treasury, then the wealth that comes from taxes is the debt of the people, the kingdom is a blessing you received from your ancestors, the life in your body is not yours, it is also the grace of God. If all this had been given to you by someone else, then what would you say to me and what would you be proud of what you have given me?'' Saying this, the scholar left the royal court, and the king gave up pride from that day on.

Meaning:- It is futile to be proud of what is not yours.
